OSFI (Canada's federal prudential regulator) returns, published as free CSV on open.canada.ca. LICAT Total/Core ratios feed the cross-regime normalized capital band (investorMgmt/pipeline/capital_norm.py — maps RBC%/LICAT%/SCR% onto one 0–100 scale); LF1 supplies the balance sheet/equity/net income for EDGAR-absent Canadian insurers. Figures are native C$. source_system= osfi_licat (conf 0.9) / osfi_financial (conf 0.85). OSFI reports operating legal entities, not listed holdcos (e.g. "The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company" for Manulife) — firm→entity mapping in investorMgmt/pipeline/firms.yaml.
